The Golden Globes Big Gay Night: Lynch, Bening, Colfer, 'KIds'...

Here's a round-up of the Golden Globe Awards lesbian and gay related wins on Sunday. Annette Bening won the Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy or musical for her turn as a lesbian mother in The Kids Are All Right. 

Glee star Jane Lynch won a Golden Globe and delivered a trademark witty speech, saying, "I am nothing if not falsely humble," before thanking her wife Dr. Lara Embry. Meanwhile, Natalie Portman, winning for best actress in a drama for Black Swan, played to the prurient who've focused solely on her sex scene with Mila Kunis and thanked "Mila Sweet Lips' Kunis" in her speech. 

Here's a round-up of the Golden Globe Awards lesbian and gay related wins on Sunday.

Chris Colfer won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television Sunday night and in his speech he thankedGlee creator Ryan Murphy for being his fairy godfather and took the opportunity to thank "all the amazing kids that watch our show and who are constantly told no by...bullies at school and told they can't have what they want because of who they are. Well screw that."

 

 

Annette Bening won the Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy or musical for her turn as a lesbian mother in The Kids Are All Right.

Bening thanked her movie partner and co-nominee Julianne Moore and the film's out director and co-screenwriter Lisa Choldenko.

Bening plays half of a couple (alongside Moore) whose happy homelife is upset by the unexpected arrival of their sperm donor, played by Mark Ruffalo.

As predicted by many, Lynch was the popular winner of the Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television. Lynch plays show choir-hating Sue Sylvester in the FOX hit series.

 

The widely acclaimed dramedy The Kids Are All Right won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical. The Lisa Cholodenko-helmed hit about a lesbian-headed family forced to deal with the unexpected arrival of their sperm donor was nominated for three awards and won the best actress in a musical or comedy honor for Annette Bening.

Meanwhile, Natalie Portman, winning for best actress in a drama for Black Swan, played to the prurient who've focused solely on her sex scene with Mila Kunis and thanked "Mila Sweet Lips' Kunis" in her speech.
