While SheWired.com favorite Jane Lynch may not have taken home the Golden Globe on Sunday, she now has a new reason to celebrate.

The out actress continued to pick up hardware en route to an inevitable Emmy nomination this week as the brand-spankin’ new Gay & Lesbian Entertainment Critics Assn. has awarded Lynch its inaugural TV performance of the year, comedy, prize.

Handing out the inaugural Dorian Awards marking the best in film and television, the group followed the Golden Globes’ lead and rewarded Lynch’s Glee with the TV musical or comedy of the year prize as well as its Campy — Intentional or Not — TV show of the year award.

GLECA, which is comprised of film and television journalists and historians writing or commenting for such media outlets as Us Weekly, SheWired “sister” the Advocate, TV Guide, Sirius XM Radio and more, also selected MSNBC’s out lesbian and all-around awesome lady Rachel Maddow for its top “Savage Wit” honors.

Globe winner Drew Barrymore also collected the Dorian Award for her dramatic turn in Grey Gardens, and Precious star Gabourey Sidibe collected the “More, Please!” Breakout Award.

Lifetime’s Prayers for Bobby, which stars Avatar’s Sigourney Weaver as a homophobic mother who finds the error of her ways after her gay son commits suicide, was named best LGBT-themed TV drama, and gay icon Cloris Leachman collected GLECA’s inaugural Forever Ageless Award.

GLECA members represent a “significant segment of the population whose collective experience continues to offer a unique and cherished perspective on popular culture.” Members also nominate movies and TV programs on the basis of their “overall quality, depth and entertainment value. Studio and independent productions, general or gay-themed productions, and their makers and performers all have equal footing as potential nominees.”

GLECA, and the Dorian Awards, hope to advance a stronger and healthier gay community by supporting programs for at-risk youth, HIV prevention, recovery and equal rights.
