Jennifer Beals Returns to Fox's 'Lie To Me'

Fans looking to catch up with stars from The L Word can set their DVRs for Sept. 28 when Jennifer Beals returns to network television on Lie To Me.

Fans looking to catch up with stars from The L Word can set their DVRs for Sept. 28 when Jennifer Beals returns to network television.

While she won’t be playing a lesbian art dealer, the actress is returning to a role she’s familiar with — and it’s not Alex Owens from 1983’s Flashdance.

The actress, who played Bette Porter on the landmark Showtime series, will reprise her role on Fox’s Lie to Me.

Beals guest starred in the final two episodes of the drama that stars Tim Roth as Dr. Cal Lightman, a scientist who studies facial expressions and body language who leads a team of experts at the Lightman Group who assist federal law enforcement, government agencies and local police with their most difficult cases.

Beals will reprise her role during Lie to Me’s sophomore season as Assistant U.S. Attorney Zoe Landau, Cal Lightman’s ex-wife and the mother of their teen daughter Emily (Hayley McFarland).

Last season, sparks flew when Beals’ character hired the body language pro to assist with an arson case and feelings between the ex-spouses resurfaced.

Lie to Me returns for its second season on Sept. 28 on Fox.

And just because we miss Bette....
