Pretty Little Liars to Go Song and Dance ala Glee and / or Black Swan?

Glee, Grey’s Anatomy and now Pretty Little Liars is going musical? Or even Black Swan – according to the show’s creator Marlene King. One of the dancers in the crowd, and the actress who plays the show’s resident adorable lesbian character Emily, Shay Mitchell said of the possibility of a musical / dance episode, “Love it. I Love dancing, so why not?! Let’s do all three – acting, singing and dancing!” Who knew mild-mannered Shay was a triple threat of the PLL cast? Being a self-confessed “showqueen” I’d love to see a Pretty Little Liars song and dance show. If they are going to go full-on  campy Black Swan however, they should invite Glee’s resident lesbian Santana (Naya Rivera) to be the Mila Kunis to Emily’s Natalie Portman! Now that’s a rating win.

Producers of ABC Family’s breakout show have discussed the possibility of doing a musical episode, E’s Marc Malkin reports.

"We've actually thought about doing a Black Swan episode because three out of the four Pretty Little Liars are ballet dancers," King said. "We're thinking of maybe incorporating that into the show. They also all sing. They're multitalented."

Meanwhile, Shay’s costar Lucy Hale, who plays Aria, wasn’t even aware that song and dance episode was being considered. But when she heard about the idea Lucy said . "I sang on the show last season, so it would be awesome. Actually, all the girls have really nice voices. We're going to Glee it up on Pretty Little Liars!"
