Twitter Stands with Leslie Jones Following Vicious Cyberbullying Attack

Twitter users came to the Ghostbusters star's defense after hackers doxed her and released nude photos from her personal website.

Ghostbusters and Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones was the victim of a vicious cyberbullying attack today when hackers hacked her website and released her private nude photos, according to The Advocate.

Jones, who recently returned from covering the Rio Olympics with her special brand of enthusiasm and humor, has taken her website down following the invasive attack during which the hackers also released her driver’s license and passport information.

The perpetrators supposedly accessed her information via her iCloud account, according to TMZ.

Sadly, this is not the first time Jones has been the victim of cyberbullying at the hands of cowards behind keyboards. Openly gay right-wing cyberbully Milo Yiannopoulos, a tech editor for the ultra-conservative Breitbart “News,” led a hate-fueled, racist, misogynist campaign on Twitter against Jones at the time of Ghostbusters’ release.

The upside of the hate, however, is that Twitter users have come to Jones’s defense in droves with #IStandWithLeslie(Jones).

Questlove got to the heart of the matter.

This user sent a simple message of love.

This one calls out misogyny.

This user sent her appreciation to Leslie.

As did this one.

This user is ready to do more than just stand with Leslie to make the hate stop.

This one called out racism and misogyny.

This one is plain and simple.

This Tweeter called out the hateful cowards who use keyboards as shields.

This one called out racism with some Ghostbusters knowledge.

This one just said it like it is.

The Good Wife star Josh Charles sent Leslie his love.
