Shangela Stuns Celeb Audience with Bizarre Movie Medley Performance
"If Beale Street Could Talk, what would she say?"
Shangela Laquifa Wadley stays booked and busy!
The RuPaul's Drag Race all-star performed at the 34th Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday and rocked the celebrity-filled house with a bizarre routine presenting the "best original songs that are not actually even in these films."
She starts the performance with a question for director Barry Jenkins in the audience, "If Beale Street Could Talk, what would she say?"
The act only gets more hilarious from there. Surrounded by shirtless male dancers, she eats chicken nuggets on stage, yells "fuck the system and police," and even tells Joaquin Phoenix to shave his beard.
