One gay teen's coming out has gone viral after he posted an emotional video of the experience to his Twitter account.
18-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez came out to his parents from the back seat of a car and documented the whole thing.
"I was so scared and it's not easy to come out," Rodriguez wrote on Twitter. "I loved their reactions and their little advice they gave me. I can finally live my life. I love my parents and all the people that have supported me throughout my journey."
In the video, the newly out teen apologizes to his mom in Spanish for his tears, reports Gay Star News.
When she asks why he keeps apologizing, Rodriguez answers, "Because I have watched videos where the parent doesn't love the kids anymore because of coming out."
"No, you are the same and we love you," she replies.
*cue ugly crying*
At the time of press, Rodriguez's video has gained over 100,000 reactions and likes, and Twitter users have praised Rodriguez and his family for their progressive acceptance and heartwarming responses.
