7 Things You Should Know About Jackie Abbott, Kate McKinnon's Girlfriend

You may have noticed right before Kate McKinnon won her second Emmy last weekend for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series that she gave a warm embrace to a stunning woman sitting next to her.

That woman is Jackie Abbott, and she’s Kate’s girlfriend. Needless to say, I wanted to know everything about who Kate’s new partner is, so immediately did some sleuthing. Here’s what I found out.

1. She has a sense of humor

On her website, she describes herself as an actor, photographer, and clown. Given that Kate is also an actor (and a super hilarious one, at that), we see why they would get along.

2. She’s pursuing her acting career in New York City

Although she is originally from Stamford, Connecticut.

3. She has many, many skills including...

Argentine Tango, clowning, neutral and character masks, dialects (Italian, Russian, British RP, Popular London, Dublin Irish, Jewish New York, Australian), character voices, golf, improv, sketch comedy, and photography.

5. She could probably kick your ass

In her resume, she also mentioned that she knows eskrima, which is a Filipino martial art that emphasizes weapon-based fighting with sticks, knives, bladed weapons and various improvised weapons. She also listed that she knows Capoeira, which is an Afro-Brazilian martial arts that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music.

6. Her professors at NYU gave her the nickname "cheeky firecracker"

On her website she says she is as "passionate" as she is a "goofball."

7. She and Kate look ridiculously cute together.
