The mayor of Palm Springs, Steve Pougnet, and councilwoman Ginni Float will honor Mariah Hanson in a Proclamation Ceremony for her contribution to the City of Palm Springs over the past 21 years as the producer of Club Skirts The Dinah. 

The Dinah contributes to the growth of Palm Springs' travel and hospitality industry each year. Even with the recession Hanson consistently draws in participants totaling a record-breaking 15,000-plus. This year is no different as both the host hotels -- The Riviera Spa & Resort and The Hilton Hotel -- are completely sold out for the biggest lesbian event of the year. 

Join celebrities and other guests in congratulating The Dinah host Mariah Hanson on receiving this honor and commemorating 21 years of The Dinah. The ceremony will take place at The Riviera's Main Pool starting at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2011.

In addition to the ceremony, The Dinah has a weekend packed full of all kinds of entertainment. There are pool parties, comedy shows, the Battle of The Lesbian Web Series, sexy go-go dancers, and of course the headlining music acts which include UK pop sensation Luciana ("I Like That"), country music superstar Chely Wright and Grammy-nominated Natasha Bedingfield.
