The orange juice slinging and singing homophobe Anita Bryant is back in the spotlight with an appearance slated at the “Reclaiming America for Christ” conference held by anti-gay Christians in Yukon, OK, July 9th and 10th, according to Gossipboy.com.
While it would appear Bryant was dead and buried since she dropped out of the limelight so many years ago and has barely been heard from since, this is not the reanimated corpse of the famous homophobe who will appear at the conference, but the real thing, although reanimated corpse is a good fit.
Bryant, who famously crusaded against gays and faced off with Harvey Milk in culture wars in the seventies, is set to croon patriotic songs to the group of good old boys and girls, of which anti-gay Oklahoma Rep. Sally Kern’s husband is a member.
The conference calls for a return to America’s Christian heritage, a crusade against Muslims and gays, and will coincide with the first ever Patriot Pastors Tea Party, reports Gossipboy.
Christian heritage pusher David Barton will headline the hatefest. He’s been called to the carpet for fabricating quotes he claimed were made by the country’s Founding Fathers and has garnered criticism for speaking at Christian Identity gatherings where he’s called for homosexuals to be executed.
