Demi Lovato has dropped the official theme song for Scream VI, the latest sequel in the long-running horror franchise. The sixth installment in the Scream series of films includes actors like Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Jack Champion in the cast.

Scream VI was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick – the same team of directors and writers from 2022’s Scream movie. With so much anticipation surrounding Scream VI, producers chose none other than Lovato to work on the theme song for the sequel.

On Friday, March 3, Lovato officially released “Still Alive” on all music streaming platforms and also dropped an exciting music video for the song.

In the video, Lovato is seen hanging out with a group of friends and stumbling upon Ghostface in the same building. Toward the end of the video, the group of friends fight against Ghostface but are defeated, leaving it up to Lovato to take down the villain.

Watching the singer beat up Ghostface and threaten the villain with a knife is electrifying, to say the least. We can’t wait to see how things will turn out in Scream VI, but one can be “Confident” that Lovato won’t be in the film to save the day.

Scream VI opens March 10 in theaters.
