"I’ve come to realize that my current mental and physical health won’t allow me to bring you my best,” the singer wrote to fans.

Out gay country star Orville Peck took to social media to announce he’s postponing the remainder of his “Bronco” tour so that he can spend time focusing on his mental and physical health.

The 35-year-old “Dead of Night” singer — who is best known for his overtly gay song lyrics and the fringed mask he’s never seen without — shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday via a note to his fans explaining his “incredibly difficult decision.”

“This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I’ve come to realize that my current mental and physical health won’t allow me to bring you my best,” Peck wrote. “My fans mean the absolute world to me and I am so incredibly thankful to every single person who has bought a ticket to come and see us play, I do not take it for granted.”

The country crooner’s “Bronco Tour” kicked off on June 20 and was meant to have a full lineup of summer dates, but Peck said he needs time to “replenish” his mind and body.

“Being on stage is my favourite thing in the world,” Peck continues. “But I have to take this time to replenish my mind and body so that I can come back stronger and healthier than before, in order to do what I love for many years to come. I truly hope you can understand.”

Peck is not the only star to cancel a recent tour due to health reasons. Sam Smith canceled his tour last month after a vocal cord injury, concern for Shawn Mendes’ mental health led him to cancel his tour last year, and country singer Morgan Wallen recently pointed to needing vocal rest as the reason he postponed his tour.

The South African native's “Bronco” tour had already been incredibly successful with a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden to kick off the tour. It was set to end on August 10 at the Bridge as Santa Fe Brewing Company in New Mexico, with stops in Columbus, Cleveland, Asbury Park, Indianapolis, Omaha, Kansas City, and more along the way.
