Warning: this article contains spoilers for The 100. However, the show's been in the news so much in the last few weeks for, you know, that move that even people who had never heard of it before can probably tell you why it's been problematic. We certainly took some time to break that down, and now we get to hear from Wanheda herself - 100 star Eliza Taylor - about Clarke and Lexa's unique love, Clarke's future sans her soulmate, and how Eliza herself feels about the development.

The interview took place at the 2016 Wonder Con in Los Angeles, where there was plenty of discussion about the show's controversial choice to kill lesbian warrior Lexa with a stray bullet moments after she and bisexual lead character Clarke consumated their relationship. Though show creator Jason Rothenberg originally dismissed the idea that the storyline fell into the "dead lesbian trope" and defended his decision, he especially took some time at Wonder Con to make amends and explain what he's learned since then.

In this video, Eliza does discuss fan reactions, but she mostly talks about the powerful relationship Clarke had with Lexa and why it will be impossible for Clarke to truly move on in the future. She also talks a little bit about Clarke's hope that Lexa lives on in the A.I., and we're thrilled to spend the rest of season 3 hoping that's true. Watch the interview here:

Will we be spending some time with Lexa in the City of Light in the future? How fun will it be for us to watch a grieving Clarke never recover from this for the rest of the show's run? Will our hearts ever stop breaking? Probably not, but that doesn't mean we'll stop tuning in. Now, one more time for old time's sake:
