How long will the wait be this time?

Euphoria fans are in for an even longer wait for season three, it turns out.

With the HBO show operating outside of the regular network broadcast schedule, fans had been left to speculate how large the gap between seasons two and three would be. The first season aired summer of 2019, while season two premiered in January of 2022 (with bridge episodes in between), but season three has had the benefit of not coinciding with a surprise worldwide pandemic.

As such, it was anticipated that the third season would start filming early this year, with the hope of new episodes dropping sometime next year.

But as it turns out, filming has been pushed to the latter half of 2023, a tidbit of information slipped into a recent Vogue article discussing Maude Apatow’s role in Little Shop of Horrors — something she was able to do because Euphoria isn’t filming just yet.

And it’s unclear just how far along writing and pre-production is on the next season, as Apatow told Vogue, “I honestly don’t know a single thing [about season three]. We should be getting scripts and hearing about next season soon-ish, but I’m totally in the dark!”

We can still hope for a season three premiere by the end of 2024, although it’s possible it gets pushed back to early 2025 at this point. Waiting over two years for (presumably) eight episodes of a show seems like an unsustainable way to make television, but hopefully, for Euphoria fans, it will be worth the wait.

Will there be a season 3 of Euphoria?

Yes, Euphoria was renewed for season three.

Is Euphoria appropriate for 12 year olds?

No.

Where can I watch Euphoria?

Euphoria is available to stream on HBO Max.
