Pride Month is here and it's time to show some love!

Hannah Gadsby is a critically-acclaimed comedian who's been entertaining audiences around the world for over 15 years.

As an out and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, the star is cracking plenty of feel-good jokes on their new Netflix film Something Special.

"Let's all feel good together! I'm telling stories about how I got engaged and my proposal was not great. [It wasn't] great on paper and it wasn't great in person," Gadsby tells PRIDE. "My spouse Jenney directed the special. It's a collaboration or a hostage situation, I'm not sure."

With Pride Month returning to its roots this year by fighting for equality and LGBTQ+ rights, Gadsby is thankful they can bring some positivity into everyone's homes amidst the important conversations happening throughout the world.

"It's something special! There's a plug (laughs). I've done the opposite! I've done shows where people sit down and it's awful. This is paying it back! It's a little thank you to the fans. When you come out, you're always coming out. It might hurt, but you'll keep having to come out. I made that sound a lot like losing your virginity, but oh well!"

Although Something Special is the third Netflix doc for Gadsby, the star is already planning another film that'll come out in the near future.

"We're filming in the UK. It's a lineup show [and] another comedy special. I'm trying to find a stage full of genderqueer artists from around the world."

Hannah Gadsby: Something Special is streaming now on Netflix. To see the full interview with Hannah Gadsby, check out the video below.
