Yesterday, Lady Gaga tweeted that she was taken to the hospital for severe pain.
Unfortunately, because of this, she had to cancel her scheduled performance in Brazil at the Rock in Rio music festival. She was incredibly apologetic, posting on Twitter:
This is likely due to her Fibromyalgia, which she was tweeting about just a couple days before.
As WebMD explains, "Fibromyalgia syndrome affects the muscles and soft tissue. Symptoms include chronic muscle pain, fatigue, sleep problems, and painful tender points or trigger points, which can be relieved through medications, lifestyle changes and stress management."
Gaga discusses her experience living with Fibromyalgia more in great detail in her original Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, which is set to be released September 22nd.
We're all wishing you a speedy recovery Gaga! Stay strong!
