Most store owners would not be happy if their storefront was vandalized with anti-gay graffiti, but in an amazing display of sass, humor and acceptance, one New York state business isn’t letting the homophobes get to them.

Instead of getting upset over the word “gay” spray painted on the front window of Voltage Video Games, the store owners decided to take what was supposed to be an insult and turn it into something positive by spray painting a message of their own: a rainbow-tastic message of acceptance for the LGBT community.

The store owners painted cute rainbows and hearts along with their response to the anti-gay message:

“Dear vandalist: so what? I assure you, we’re OPEN.”

The picture of the store went viral on Reddit yesterday and is yet another example of how the world is moving towards a more tolerant, loving, and accepting place, especially for those in the LGBT community.

Let’s just hope more small businesses take the same stand Voltage Video Games did! What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter!
