The Best (and Gayest) Movie & TV Kisses EVER

The Best (and Gayest) Movie & TV Kisses EVER

Today is #NationalKissingDay (yes, it's actually a real thing) and in honor of this fine, momentous, and totally obscure holiday, we're taking a look back at some of the most iconic (and some of the the most gay) kisses in film and television history. 'Cause, ya know, it's totally normal to be obsessed with romantic celebrity kisses, right? Right?!

Brittany & Santana and Kurt & Blaine in Glee..

Glee was one of the most progressive, LGBT-friendly shows in all of television, and we would be totally lying to oursevles if we could only pick one kiss from one of these sweet (and hot) couples to include on this list. So we included them both. 'Cause duh.

Spider-Man & Mary Jane in Spider-Man

Who would have thought an upside-down, rain-soaked, mask-wearing smooch could be so romantic? We don't even care if this kiss would probably be impossible to pull-off IRL!

Madonna & Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera at the 2003 MTV Music Video Awards..

Okay, this controversial three-way kiss was not technically on a scripted film or television show, but that doesn't mean it can't be included on this list. It's, quite simply, an iconic moment in all of pop culture history (how else can you get Madge, Brit-Brit, and Xtina all on the same stage?!?), and it's always a pleasure to look back on it.

The late '60s had the moon landing. The early 2000's had Madonna/Britney/Christina.

Noah & Ally in The Notebook

NO list of kisses can be complete without this raw, romantic, and wet moment from the movie that helped put Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams on the map. We're guessing kissing in the rain is a common theme for lovey-dovey moments between straight movie couples?

Patrick & Kevin in Looking.

Just like Glee, Looking was definitely not short on man-on-man kissing action, and one of the best (of many!) exchanges was Patrick & Kevin's first kiss. *cough* Did it just get a million degrees hotter in here?!

Lady & Tramp in Lady and the Tramp.

Don't try to front like you never tried to recreate this scene whenever you had spaghetti for dinner. We all did.

Alex & Piper in Orange is the New Black.

They're now one of television's most well-known couples, and it all started back in 2013 during season one of the hit Netflix jailhouse series Orange is the New Black. Alex & Piper's first kiss was definitely fast-paced and intense, but would we really want it any other way?

Holly & Paul in Breakfast at Tiffany's

Further proof that being in the pouring rain makes movie kisses even more romantic than they already are. Plus, Cat is involved. Things are always better with cats involved.

Rachel & Melissa in Friends

Most people would tell you that Rachel & Ross' first kiss was probs their favorite Friends kiss ever, but we'd like to say that the smooch she shared with her former sorority sister Melissa (played by '90s queen Winona Ryder) was wayyy better. Even if the situation ended weirdly. Why? Because Winona freakin' Ryder, that's why!! (Plus, Phoebe and Rachel got to get it on a few moments afterwards!)

Jack & Rose in Titanic

Just like the Lady and the Tramp Kiss, you're straight up lying if you've never thought about possibily reenacting this scene. Kissing your partner on the edge of a cruise ship after you've just pretended like you were flying...what could possibly be better than that?!

What are some of your fave kisses in movie and TV history? Did we miss any? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter!
