Remember how Miley Cyrus wasn't the only thing that happened at the VMAs?
Since exiting the stage after a soulful performance of "Same Love" with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, (not to mention, a surprise appearance by Jennifer Hudson), 24-year-old Mary Lambert's life has been a whirlwind of major performances and studio sessions. Self-described on her Twitter page as a "singer-songwriter, poet, comfy-bed enthusiast, hella gay, letter-writer," it's no wonder this talented young woman has stayed busy. She joined Macklemore and Lewis on their world tour in their home state of Washington and will continue through the end of it. This week alone, she has three sold out shows at Madison Square Garden, followed by two solo gigs this Saturday at the intimate NYC venue SubCulture.
Thankfully, our favorite singing celesbian has kept us in the loop, instagramming every step of the way.
From her adorably humble post about being featured in the New York Times:
To this selfie of her Capitol Records deal signing last month:
Or how about her "favorite stuff" video with her "best friend"?
Whatever she posts, we love Mary Lambert for her beauty inside and out, her candid and goofy humor, and her incredible talent and poise. Tickets for her SubCulture show are still available.
