Miley received flack for culturally appropriating and Black culture to further rise into stardom, only to quickly abandon it once she no longer found it useful.
In her music video for the song "Younger Now," released yesterday, the pansexual popstar seemingly discusses how we all grow and change. (Just like she did.) Maybe the song is an attempt to reconcile some guilt for cultural appropriation? If so, it’s a flimsy excuse. Who knows?
