Troye Sivan and Charli XCX wanna go back to 1999 at GO WEST FEST, a brand new, one-day Pride festival in Los Angeles this June!
"Introducing GO WEST FEST," Sivan tweeted. "A new kind of pride festival curated by me n @charli_xcx that celebrates the inclusivity, artistry, music, kinks, merchants, and creativity of the LGBTQ community, while really giving back to our community."
The lineup includes Sivan and Charli, as well as a slew of other LGBTQ+ acts and allies like Allie X, Chika, Quay Dash, Dorian Electra, RuPaul's Drag Race star Gia Gunn, Carlie Hanson, Leland, Pussy Riot, and DJ sets by Baby Uniq, K.O. AKA Koala, and Alima Lee.
According to Live Music Blog, the festival name is "inspired by the 1979 Village People song about finding a utopian land free of homophobia."
During the festival, "attendees can visit an assortment of booths with food, arts and cultural offerings."
A curating group called Junior High will host the GO WEST FEST Artist Circle, "a dedicated space inside The Wiltern that will feature emerging artists from Los Angeles’ LGBTQ community."
GO WEST FEST takes place June 6 at The Wiltern in LA, with proceeds benefitting GLAAD and local organizations. Tickets go on sale Friday, here.
