A nude photo of France's First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy entitled "Carla Bruni in bed" will be be auctioned on June 4 at Berlin's Villa Grisebach Auction as a part of a sale of Modern and Contemporary Photographs, according to UK Daily Mail.
The intimate image of the 41-year-old wife of Nicolas Sarkozy entitled, Carla Bruni In Bed, was snapped by US photographer Pamela Hanson and reveals the former supermodel/singer lying on a bed, bare-breasted, her body partially covered by a white sheet.
Shot in 1994, at the height of Miss Bruni's modelling fame when she was 26 and dating rock legend Mick Jagger, the 16ft by 24ft photo is being sold with a reserve price of around $6,000.
Only ten numbered copies exist of the black and white print.
The latest revealing image comes after a full-frontal picture of Carla - one of the world's most photographed women - fetched £60,000 at another auction about a year ago.
A nude sketch of Mr Sarkozy's wife is also expected to be sold in Paris next month as part of an exhibition of glamour girls called "Pin-Up".
French President Sarkozy is said to have "no issue" with tastefully revealing images of his wife being made public.
A source at the Elysée Palace told France's Le Post news website: "He has made it clear he has no problem with this because he knows that the only images of his wife in existence are tasteful.
"Some may me nude, but she is a beautiful woman who was a model and only ever posed for pictures that had artistic merit." said Sarkozy.
