Following an hour long debate, the House vote of 178-167 approves the senate amended marriage equality bill.
Now Gov. John Lynch needs to sign the bill. He has yet to say whether he plans to veto it, but he has stated that he believed New Hampshire's civil unions for same-sex couples provided the same rights as married couples. Lynch has also said that further action by the federal government is needed to recognize same-sex unions.
