This Intersectional Group of Friends Asks You to #DoItForUs and Help Defeat Trump

The stakes in this presidential election could not be higher for queer people, people of color, Muslims, and women, and that’s why this intersectional group of friends joined together to ask if you’d help defeat Republican candidate Donald Trump by voting for Hillary Clinton.  “Do it for us,” they implore.

“We’re not famous. We’re just friends. Like, I’m your black friend, I’m your Latino friend, I’m your gay friend, I’m your Muslim friend, I’m your female friend, I’m your black, and gay, and female friend,” adding that they are scared of what Trump could bring to the White House.

Dalila Ali Rajah, Anam Syed, Tyler Lowell, Joe Hernandez-Kolski, Joshua Silverstein, Jill Bennett, and Lauren Neal are the friends appealing to third-party voters.

“If there’s a woman-hating, homophobic racist in the White House we’re the ones who are going to get the shit kicked out of us,” Joshua says in the video.

Tyler adds that he’s a Bernie (Sanders) guy, that the revolution is still happening, but as a group, they ask to please help vote Hillary Clinton, an ally, into the White House to help preserve marriage equality and a woman’s right to choose, among other things.

“We know that you’re progressive. We know that you want change and you want it now. We want those things too,” Jill says, before asking, “Do it for us.”
