A flood of responses to the overturning of Roe v. Wade has taken over TikTok.
TikTok has become one of the main sources of news and activism for LGBTQ+ youth and young people in general. As expected, many TikTok creators have taken to the video-sharing app to share information about what’s going on and express their frustration over this ban on abortion rights. Generally speaking, there’s a lot of outrage going around TikTok in reaction to the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
While there are certainly a few conservative voices on the app, most opinions going viral on TikTok about this topic are progressive ideas and reactions of anger and disappointment in the court’s decision to go back on this federal guarantee that all people should have access to an abortion.
With so much information and so many “hot takes” out there, this is the perfect time to round out the content that is going viral on TikTok since it happens to be one of the most popular apps among younger audiences who are feeling disappointed in politics during a day like this.
