Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Republican Presidential candidate John McCain, is says “it’s a bitch” to be a Republican who supports gay marriage, according to The Huffington Post.
The long time advocate of marriage equality made the comment during an event sponsored by the Young Conservatives for the Freedom to Marry on Monday.
Meghan made her stance on marriage equality clear by posing, alongside her mother Cindy, for the celebrity driven NOH8 Campaign, and after she publicly challenged the GOP to change their policy on gay issues in a memo dated April 2009 entitled, Memo to the GOP: Go Gay.
Currently a contributor to MSNBC, Meghan is widely known for her public attacks on well known Republican pundits including; Ann Coulter, Newt Gingrich, and Karl Rove.
Meghan, who once tweeted, "RED TIL I'M DEAD BABY, I love my party and sure as hell not leavin,” has said she would now consider switching parties if the GOP failed to change some of its stances.
