SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical nabbed a whopping 12 Tony nominations!
Nominations for the annual Tony Awards were announced earlier today, and the distinction of being this year's most nominated Broadway show goes to none other than our fave undersea sponge/meme icon, SpongeBob!!

While SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical is making waves for its songs and its theatricality, there's something else about it that is also catching the internet's attention: the guy behind the sponge, actor Ethan Slater (who PRIDE talked to back in 2016!).
Yup, people think SpongeBob is hot. (And we can't really blame them??)
