Clavicular's public image has been taking hit after hit in the last few months. This time, he's receiving backlash for walking off the set of a television interview and having another run-in with a transgender woman.
The “looksmaxxing” influencer, whose real name is Braden Peters, walked out of a 60 Minutes Australia interview with correspondent Adam Hegarty after being asked whether he identifies with the incel (involuntary celibate) community.
“Do I identify as an incel?” Clavicular said, per Variety. “I mean, how could you ask me that question as a follow-up after you asked me about my relationships to women. I mean, that’s quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I’ve ever heard.”
Hegarty tried again, “Let me rephrase then. Looksmaxxing was obviously a term created by the incel community. How do you feel about being linked to that group?”
“I’m not linked to that group in any way,” Clavicular answered. “Looksmaxxing is self improvement, right? So it’s about potentially even ascending out of that category. So that would be kind of one of the goals is to disassociate from being an incel and overcome that. So that doesn’t make sense.”
Clavicular got upset when Hegarty moved on to pressing him about his relationship with “manosphere” influencer Andrew Tate, who is currently facing rape, sexual assault, and human trafficking charges, and who was caught on video chanting the lyrics to Kanye West’s “Heil Hitler” at a nightclub in Miami Beach in January with Clavicular.
“I see you want to make this political,” Clavicular said. “Too bad I didn’t have time to look into, you know, anything about potentially, you know, who your wife cheated with, but don’t try to go down that line of questioning with me.”
After Hegarty pointed out that he’s “not married,” Clavicular insulted the 60 Minutes Australia host before walking off the set.
“So I could teach you about looksmaxxing, and then maybe you could switch that up,” he said. “Thanks for the time, appreciate the interview.”
Clavicular also made headlines this week for an incident with a trans woman during his ongoing 30-day livestream on Kick.
While he and a group of friends were walking through a mall, he stopped to hit on two women who were talking to each other.
“Damn, you guys are lucky I’m practicing my cold approach today,” Clavicular said.
“What does that mean?” one of the women asked. When Clavicular heard he voice, he said “Oh shit” before walking away.
The woman responded, “Don’t walk away!”
Clavicular and his friends continued to walk away laughing, but it’s unclear from the footage whether or not they were laughing at the influencer hitting on a transgender woman.
