The last episode of Lena Dunham's HBO series aired this Sunday.
Despite its problems (the most glaring being its predominantly white, non-diverse cast), Lena Dunham's female-centric HBO series Girls garnered quite a following and many praises for its realistic depiction of young women and their friendships.
After five years and six seasons, the series finally came to an end on Sunday night, and as expected, fans who have followed the show since its premiere in April of 2012 had lots to say online.

“Finale was raw, frustrating, emotional, messy, thus true to the series.

Just cuz it's girls, doesn't mean it needs a pink bow.

#GirlsHBO”— PassMeAPickle (@PassMeAPickle) 1492401677
“@girlsHBO encapsulated my twenties more succinctly than I ever could. I've never felt so much physical + emotional acceptance #goodbyegirls”— Jess (@Jess) 1492400343
