Marvel Just Confirmed Loki's Bisexuality and Fans Are Losing It

This is the first time the MCU has acknowledged Loki’s sexual orientation.

Happy Pride Month y'all!

Last night's episode of Loki, Disney+'s Marvel series focusing specifically on Thor's mischievous sibling, confirmed that the Norse god is canonically bisexual in the cinematic universe.

The revelation happens in “Lamentis” during a conversation between Loki and Sylvie about their past relationships.

"So, on the subject of love, is there a lucky beau waiting for you at the end of this crusade?" Loki asks Sylvie.

"Yeah there is, actually," she replies. "How about you? You’re a prince. Must have been would-be-princesses. Or perhaps another prince?"

Loki responds, "A bit of both. I suspect the same as you. But nothing ever–”

"–real." Sylvie concludes.

The moment marks the first time the Marvel Cinematic Universe has referenced Loki’s sexual orientation, though they did confirm the character is genderfluid in a trailer for the series last month.

Fans, LGBTQ+ ones specifically, are losing their minds, including the director of the series, Kate Herron. "From the moment I joined @LokiOfficial it was very important to me, and my goal, to acknowledge Loki was bisexual," she wrote on Twitter. "It is a part of who he is and who I am too. I know this is a small step but I’m happy, and my heart is so full, to say that this is now canon in the #MCU."

The gays stay winning!
