SheWired’s friend Diana Cage chats with iconic lesbian / feminist performance artist Holly Hughes about her views on same-sex marriage, feminism, her button pushing work including The Well of Horniness and her new show Let Them Eat Cake!
Hughes became part of the national dialogue in the early nineties when she was one of four artists to receive a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts that was later rescinded under fire from the moral majority and ultra-conservatism of the time.
