Phew! Laura Prepon Confirmed for Four Episodes of Orange is the New Black Season 2

Code red aborted, code red aborted. 

Litchfield’s raven haired hottie Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) is confirmed to return for four episodes of the upcoming second season of the Netflix surprise megahit Orange is the New Black, according to Buzzfeed.

The website is reporting that sources close to the prison dramedy expect Prepon to arrive to their New York set sometime this week.

Show runner Jenji Kohan has remained tight lipped about what to expect from the Piper (Taylor Schilling) – Alex – Larry (Jason Biggs) love triangle, although she has been vocal about the writers plans to shift story lines away from the main characters and over to the wide array of supporting characters. 

At a Paley Center panel last month, Kohan said, “as much as I love Piper and Taylor and her journey, I think people are interested in everybody’s journey."

We say YES to more Taystee (Danielle Brooks), Morello (Yael Stone), Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba), and Nicky (Natasha Lyonne), to name just a few.

The second season is expected to run 13 episodes, so a third of the season will include Prepon, which sounds much better than the one episode that was originally reported this summer. 

There’s no official word yet on when the second season will be available on Netflix for your binge watching pleasure, although the word on the street is early-to-mid 2014.   

According to Netflix reports, Orange has officially surpassed the company’s more highly anticipated (and publicized) shows, Arrested Development and House of Cards, as the most watched show on the streaming site.
