Bisexuality is frequently discounted as an illegitimate sexual orientation. Despite being the largest part of the LGBT community, people often say bisexuality is not a valid orientation.
Out of this frustration came #BisexualityIsValid. The hashtag became a place for bisexuals to share some of their most frustrating encounters with that invalidation. It created solidarity across the twitterverse and allowed gay, lesbians, and straights to see some of the invalidation.
