NBC is pulling The Playboy Club, starring bisexual actress Amber Heard, due to low ratings.

The drama, costarring Eddie Cibrian, will be replaced by Brian Williams’ new primetime newsmagazine in the Monday evening slot, starting on October 31, according to Deadline.com. New police drama Prime Suspect will fill the slot in the meantime.

“We made comedy an important goal for us this season and I’m very pleased to be making full-season commitments to both Whitney and Up All Night,” NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt announced. “We’re thrilled with the creative direction of both shows as well as the potential for them to continue to build loyal audiences over the coming months. We’re proud of all of the producers, writers, actors, and directors who have worked so hard to bring these shows to life.”

No official reaction from Heard yet. In addition to Heard in the lead, the series featured an excellent lesbian storyline following a closeted bunny, Alice.
