Kelly Clarkson Campaigns for ‘Parks and Recreation’ Cameo

Kelly Clarkson is about to release a new album, but the active Twitter user wants her fans support for another project—getting her a gig as guest star on NBC’s Parks and Recreation.

Even though the Justin To Kelly star admits she’s not as talented at acting as she is singing, Clarkson tweeted:

"Here's the deal ... I really want to be on 'Parks and Recreation,' " she told fans Monday. "It's hilarious! I am a bad actress but maybe I could play a bad actress! I would nail that! I need to be in a scene with Ron Swanson [below]. I love all of them but the trucker stache gets me every time."

"So, I'm gonna need all of my fans' help please," Clarkson continued. "Please tweet every member of the cast, the producers, the writers, security in that building and anyone related to that show and tell them they need to have me on as a guest. Pretty pretty please!"

Clarkson’s fans immediately responded. Maybe a horse lover like Clarkson could perform at a special Lil’ Sebastian tribute? Or, fill-in for surly Aubrey Plaza as an overly peppy assistant to Ron Swanson… Anything to see more Kelly Clarkson.

Amy Poehler, can you please make it so? Maybe she could write Leslie Knope’s girl-power campaign anthem?
