Golden Globe and Emmy winner for The Good Wife Julianna Margulies will be the guest of honor at the third annual Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts fundraising luncheon this March, according to Broadway World.
It’s no wonder Chicago based Steppenwolf would honor Margulies, as her Good Wife character Alicia Florrick makes her home in The Windy City.
Margulies became a household name on ER in the 90’s and later wooed her lesbian fan base playing gay with Kyra Sedgwick in the Thanksgiving themed What’s Cooking?
Previous honorees include Joan Allen and Martha Plimpton. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to fund Steppenwolf’s Professional Leadership Program, which offers experience for young professionals seeking hands-on experience in theater administration, production and technology in the for of apprenticeships, internships and multicultural fellowships, reports Broadway World.
