Principle photography was announced recently for the sports comedy The Hot Flashes starring Brooke Shields, Daryl Hannah, Wanda Sykes, Virginia Madsen and Camryn Manheim.
According to the film’s website, The Hot Flashes is the story of a middle aged basketball team in Texas, who agrees to play a game against the highly competitive, current high school state champs, in order to raise money for breast cancer prevention.
The film’s creative team includes Executive Producer Susan Seidelman, who is best known for Smithereens, Desperately Seeking Susan, and Sex and the City. Flashes marks the first script to head into production for Brad Hennig. And the former President of the WNBA, Donna Orender, is serving as sports advisor for the project.
