You can help support LGBT filmmaking!  Writer, actress and Cherry Bomb cohost Dalila Ali Rajah has written the short film Secrets and Toys, “about a mother and daughter who discover each other’s secrets through a comedy of errors.”

The film stars Dalila and Noah’s Arc hunk Darryl Stephens. Pioneering queer filmmaker Cheryl Dunye (The Watermelon Woman, Stranger Inside, The Owls) has signed on to direct the short.

Here’s what Dalila had to say about the short on the film’s Indiegogo fundraising page:

“So this is the little short film that could.  I wrote it years ago, and as many of us do, I sat on it.  I love this story.  It's fun, touching, and shows some lovely diverse images of queer people of color.  I would love your support in getting it made.  I usually spend most of my time outside of mommy-ing and healing doing activism work to help build a country where we all have equal rights.  Today I am asking for your support to help make one of my dreams come true.

I have a little bit of what we need to make this film happen, but I need another $10,000 - 15,000 dollars.  I have such an incredible community, and I  KNOW that this is a drop in the bucket if we all come together to make this happen!”
