Watch: Wanda Sykes Tells Ellen About Her Family's Inappropriate Visit to the Aquarium

On The Ellen Showtoday, DeGeneres hosted fellow out funny lady Wanda Sykes, who offered a peek into her family life with her wife, Alex, and their young two children, Lucas and Olivia.

Since Sykes' wife is French, her children both speak French and English — or really just French, as Sykes told DeGeneres. That all sounds multicultural and great, but sometimes bilingual parenting can get a little tricky, as the Sykes family discovered on a recent trip to the Long Beach Aquarium in southern California.

Sykes told Ellen the French word for a seal is "foch" — pronounced just like a very different and less kid-appropriate word in English. That made for an awkward encounter as the younger Sykes' excitedly pointed out the seals on display to their moms. Watch what happened below.
