Lady Gaga rode the torrent of popularity she has and enjoyed since the summer of 2008 and dominated MTV's Video Music Awards Sunday night with eight wins, including Video of the Year and Best Collaboration, with Beyoncé, for the epic "Telephone" video. And yes, MTV still occasionally airs videos --who knew?

Kanye West introduced a new song, "Runaway," recalling his scandalous appearance at the VMAs last year with Taylor Swift, who sang "Innocence," which also expressed her feelings on the turbulence from last year.
