Miley Cyrus Tweets About Gay Marriage, Casey Anthony Verdict

Questioning the state of law and order in our country, the singer/actress posted: “You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children but we can’t get gay marriage legalized in the state of California.”

While she's best know as a tween performer Miley Cyrus has been trying her hand at politically charged Tweets lately. Tuesday she made a comment regarding the Casey Anthony trial verdict that redirected her fans’ attention to the fight for LGBT equality.

Questioning the state of law and order in our country, the singer/actress posted to her Twitter:

“You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children but we can’t get gay marriage legalized in the state of California.”

Cyrus joins a list of other celebs, including Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Tori Spelling, and Mandy Moore, who were shocked and outraged that Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Cyrus has previously voiced (and tweeted) her support for gay marriage and expressed her outrage at notoriously antigay presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, Advocate.com reports. In 2009 Cyrus tweeted a message to blogger Perez Hilton that read, “Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! I am a Christian and I love you — gay or not. Because you are no different that anyone else! We are all God's children!"
