The on again/off again saga surrounding sadly canceled too soon Arrested Development’s jump to the big screen is on again this week after series co-star Will Arnett confirmed shooting of the cult-favorite series’ first feature film will begin in 2010.
Though fervent fans have rallied for a movie adaptation since the series was canceled in 2006, hope waned after Micheal Cera was remiss to commit in the wake of his blossoming film career and creator/writer Mitch Hurwitz moved on to a slew of new projects.
Most of the series stars that comprised the eccentric Bluth family have voiced their desires to reprise their hilarious roles, including out lesbian actress Portia de Rossi, who played Lindsay Bluth Funke for three glorious seasons.
De Rossi is currently delivering laughs as an icy, cunning corporate queen on Better of Ted, and she's happily married to Ellen DeGeneres.

With the original cast committed, Arnett tells ComingSoon, “We are working on the movie right now. We don't have a completed script yet, but it's forthcoming and we're going to make the movie this year."
