SheWired Shot of the Day: 'Facts of Life' Cast Reunites for TV Land Awards

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value. Today we bring you a perfectly campy shot from the Facts of Life reunion at the TV Land Awards, where budding lesbians of the 80’s favorite boarding school girls were all grown up! On hand for the awards were Lisa Whelchel (who played my early crush, the rich, bitchy Blair), Nancy McKeon (the tough girl from the wrong side of the tracks who made most gay girls swoon), recently out lesbian Geri Jewell (Blair’s cousin Geri), Charlotte Rae (Facts of Life doyen and favorite house mom Mrs. Garrett) and Cloris Leachman (wacky replacement house mom Beverly Ann Strickland).

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value. Well, we at SheWired have made an executive decision to just throw any of our pseudo-feminist caution to the wind and to just post our fave shot of the day, whether it be sexy, salacious, or just because...

Today we bring you a perfectly campy shot from the Facts of Life reunion at the TV Land Awards, where budding lesbians of the 80’s favorite boarding school girls were all grown up! Hopes of a Facts of Life reunion movie set years in the future with Jo and Blair happily in love and raising their twins (one girl, one boy) on a ranch in Santa Fe were dashed years ago when Lisa Whelchel announced she was a born-again Christian, but at least she’s here posing with her TV lesbian cousin Geri – although it does look as though Cloris and Charlotte are absorbing any lesbian / conservative Christian tension that might be occurring.
