Tammy Lynn Michaels Opens Up in her Blog About Split from Melissa Etheridge

The news broke this morning that Melissa Etheridge and partner of nearly nine years, Tammy Lynn Michaels, had split.  Now, only hours later, more information is coming to light. 
 
Tammy Lynn Michaels has been writing a blog since back in 2005 called "Hollywood Farm Girl".  Today, on the same day as the official announcement that her marriage to rockstar Melissa Etheridge was kaput, Tammy shared the following on her blog:

so.... there i was, road kill, on my back, couldn't breathe, couldn't eat or it'd come right back up... how the fuck was i going to make a life for me and my twins from here? lying on my back, flatter than a doornail, staring straight up at the sky, all blood having been smashed from my body like water from a water a water balloon in the summer play....

what to do now.

"MOMMY!!!! COME WIIIIIIPE MEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"

right. dirty bottoms. two of them. often. pointing straight up in the air. so often. that's life right now. cleaning out tiny toilet bowls, packing lunches, tucking in tiny children, explaining big life changes, holding children close, pointing out the beauty in life while trying to distract from the pain, it's all real it's all what it is, it's what happens when life keeps going going going....

It cannot be easy to move on and go forward from a lifestyle you've become accustomed to when the world is watching you.  I think it is extremely admirable that Tammy chose to write in her own personal space (her blog) even while knowing the world would be watching her every move like a hawk.  It takes guts.  Tammy has guts.  GO TAMMY!
