A Christian Org Is Trying to 'Take Back the Rainbow,' and the Internet Is Snickering

People noted how a rainbow-lit Noah's Ark re-creation looked like a glorious gay cruise.

Ken Ham, the president of Answers in Genesis, an organization "an apologetics ministry, dedicated to helping Christians defend their faith," is determined to take back the rainbow from the LGBT community, who he feels has appropriated it from biblical teachings. His first move? Decorating the Ark Encounter, a 510-foot-long reproduction of Noah's Ark that he operates as a fundamentalist Christian theme park in Kentucky.

Ham followed the post with a declaration that "Christians need to take back the rainbow as we do @ArkEncounter — God owns it — He decreed it’s a sign of His covenant with man after the Flood." While in the Bible, Noah's Ark drew every species, Ham's is attracting trolls with hilarious comebacks.

Ham also tweeted that we will all have a fiery death: "The rainbow is a reminder God will never again judge the wickedness of man with a global Flood--next time the world will be judged by fire."

When they were done with Ham, they moved on to the boat itself.
