World of Wonder; Crave
It is a well-known fact that Utica Queen created one of the most iconic looks with her sleeping bag gown in season 13 — and she was just getting started.
This week, fans learned that the drag star is returning to our screens at last, but not as an All Star but on another popular reality series that will show off her undeniable and incredible talents as a designer and garment creator, on season 21 of Project Runway.
Utica, who will compete under her government name, Ethan Mundt, is one of the 12 contestants announced to compete for the cash prize and title of top designer. Is it too soon to call Utica the front-runner? Not if you are familiar with her work.
For instance, at last year’s Drag-Con LA, she left PRIDE utterly gagged not only with her stunning Pink Carpet lewk, but by one she literally threw together in her booth to wear later that day. Giving a full Scarlet O’Hara moment, Utica revealed that she had made her second look literally from the materials of her booth.
GAG!
Not to mention the incredible looks she showcases on her Instagram. Yes, we are delighted to see her returning to our screens, but Mama Ru, we need this queen back in the Werk Room, too! We are manifesting an all-fashion queens season, and our money would be on Utica to snatch that crown — or literally become one…
EXPAND
So it should come as no surprise that her Drag Race sisters have taken note of her talents and she is rapidly becoming one of the designers that the (international) cast is turning to to elevate their fashion game, too. We've been blessed with her looks on several seasons of the main show, as well as All Stars, and the main stage of Canada’s Drag Race vs the World.
But that's not all, here are 13 times Drag Race queens donned a Utica original that blew our minds!

"Our full runways weren’t showcased during the episode, my concept for the runway was a magician that had been sawed in half. The inside of the black cape creates optical illusion with the saw blades going through the body, with red crystals dripping from the blades symbolizing 🩸", she wrote at the time.
Willow Pill
