And she's a gender warrior!

It's no secret that we here at SheWired are big fans of Casey Legler, the French-born former Olympic swimmer who was signed to Ford Models' men's roster in 2013.

The 38-year-old New York-based artist is a gender warrior, ready to stand up for non-normative gender expressions. When confronted by a CNN anchor's disbelief that Legler could be signed as a male model, the always-eloquent model responded with characteristic aplomb.

"I don't think  it was that they didn't care," said Legler. "I mean, they saw me walk in and were like, She obviously belongs on our men's board."

While Legler's thoughtful responses and varied talents are just a few reasons to be infatuated with her, we wanted to bring you a collection of some of our favorite images from Legler's work. Keep reading to find a collection of images where Legler presents butch, femme, athletic, and everything in between.
