This past weekend, Jurassic World opened up to a whopping $208.8 million in ticket sales in the US alone, helping make it THE best opening weekend of any motion picture, EVER. While many are quick to say that the best part of the movie was the stunning visual effects and the amazingly badass dinosaurs that you secretly wish were real, we'd like to point out that the real MVP of the entire film was Bryce Dallas Howard's character Claire Dearing.

In what was not surprisingly a male-driven work environment, Claire was not only clever and one of the story's most powerful HBICs, but she looked absolutely flaw-free while doing so, and for that, she's a total feminist icon in our book (despite what some on the internet are saying).

Here are some of the best reasons why.

1. She's not afraid to check a man's inappropriate comments....

2. She defies the notion that women can't be feminine AND badass..

3. But she also isn't afraid to get down and dirty when she needs to..

4. She can shoot a gun. At a ravenous, flying dinosaur. In heels...

5. She's incredibly intelligent..

6. She refused to let Owen (Chris Pratt's character) take the lead. She wanted to do things with him BY HIS SIDE..

And as a bonus, her fierce, red-headed, bob & bang hair game was on 1,000,000 the entire movie...

ALL HAIL QUEEN CLAIRE..

Have you seen Claire Dearing slay in Jurassic World yet? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter!
