Gwyneth Paltrow Backs Out of 'The Danish Girl'; Who Will Play Nicole Kidman's Wife?

First Charlize Theron and now Gwyneth Paltrow?

Two Hollywood A-listers have now backed out of The Danish Girl, a film that tells the story of a man who undergoes the first sex-change operation (played by Nicole Kidman) and the wife that stands by her.

The 37-year-old actress just finished shooting Love Don't Let Me Down in Tennessee and was slated to begin working on the new film, but decided she would rather spend more time with her family.

The Iron Man star tells Harper's Bazaarthat after the producers changed the shooting location of the flick, Paltrow just couldn't hack it, telling the magazine she just couldn't bear spending much time away from husband Chris Martin and her young kids, Apple, 6, and Moses, 4.

Paltrow even told The Mail  that she has been pushing herself too hard, "Some days I feel like everyone in my world has plugged themselves into my kidneys. I'm so tired."

However, rumors are circulating that while shooting in Tennessee - Kidman's home town - Paltrow tried to see the actress for role preparation, but Kidman declined.

Now that Paltrow will not be playing Kidman's love interest, we are hoping that Angelina Jolie could muster up the time to play this character.

Of course, we would always settle for the sultry and graceful Kate Winslet, the sexy little vixen Penelope Cruz or the adorable and fun Sandra Bullock. Any of these women would look good with Kidman!
