The sudden death of LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg, 25, is being investigated by the Henderson Police and the Clark County Coroner's Office, according to USA Today.
Blasberg was found on Sunday, unresponsive in her bed. Police responded to a 911 call from her home at 3:15 pm but have declined to say who made the call.
Erica's father Mel Blasberg suggested on Monday to the Riverside Press-Enterprise that Erica may have committed suicide. However, today he insisted to gossip site TMZ that his daughter was "very upbeat" in the days before her death.
So far, the police haven't given the family any indication into the cause of death. Authorities say that it could be four to six weeks before toxicology tests are returned.
According to ABC News, Blasberg struggled on the LPGA tour, never finishing higher than 94th since she turned pro in 2004.
During her college career, the California native won six tourney's in two years while attending the University of Arizona. She was a two-time All-American, finished her 2003 season at the top of the college rankings and was named the NCAA Freshman of the Year, Pacific-10 Player of the Year and Golfweek's Player of the Year.
Blasberg also appeared as the face of Puma's women's golf line during its launch campaign in 2006.
